How to Book The Peachland Beach House Directly
This BNB has been on AirBNB for 4 years and has one of the highest ratings in the entire Okanagan. Recent changes and alterations to AirBNB, US politics and just the cost of using AirBNB have made us rethink our BNB to allow bookings directly. You can see the reviews down below from AirBNB.

The BC Government has mandated all BNB's to register this year and that has been painfully slow. We have submitted our application, and the $500.00 fee and since it does have a business license and is owner occupied (by us) we see no reason it wont be licensed, at some point probably in next two weeks.

However, given that certain clients were notified that they could cancel if they wanted to and thus some direct contact ensued outside of AirBNB and it was very clear to us, as good as AirBNB has been for us, that it was VERY expensive and actually in 2 cases had us shaking our heads. So we are accepting and will allow direct bookings this year and into next year, in effect without the fees AirBNB is charging. There is process to this outlined below, however outside of this everything will remain the same as it was prior thru AirBNB. We will still, once license is issued by Province here, be and use AirBNB but we will also be using this website as it just makes sense for both parties.
Process for Booking
If you are booked from AirBNB and cancelling and booking directly with us the verification process is simpler as outlined.
Call Us
Call us at 778 392 3149 or email us peachlandbeachhouse65@gmail.com. We will send you a form to complete and verify who is renting, when and payment method. We will notify you if it is approved or we need further information. If booking from existing booking that was on ARIBNB it is approved we will just need name, number and address.
Rates
There will be no fees in addition to this and rates will be as follows:
Peak Season June 28-August 31

Nightly $550.00/night including all taxes and fees
Weekly Rate $3050.00 including all taxes and fees

Off Season
​
Nightly $385.00/night including all taxes and fees
Weekly Rate $2400.00 including all taxes and fees
Payment Check in and Cancellations
We will be doing this for payments and securing the rental. 35% of the total amount or cost of the booking will be required and be processed online using Quickbooks platform. You will have two bills one for the full amount, and one that will need to be paid to hold the reservation. The deposit which is 35% of your total bill, paid online is non refundable except for the following reasons:

Death or sickness in family
Fire flood or natural disaster

The balance of the booking will be required to be paid either of 2 ways:
​
1) online 48 hours prior to checking in using same method as the deposit was fullfilled on Quickbooks via the invoice you will be sent.

2) in person at our business Peachland Wine Shoppe when you arrive in town. (this is on the highway into town and about 2 minutes from the rental house)

If your stay is short and under $1000 total fees we will require the entire amount at time of booking and the same refund policy is in place.

Once payment is received (it takes 48 hours on Quickbooks), you will be sent the door codes, gate codes, and wifi passwords. You can check in after 4PM (we do allow early check ins in the summer if it is arranged prior). You will be required to check out on the morning of your stay by 11 am unless other arrangements have been made.

You will also recieve a PDF (it is in the house printed as well) of rules check in check out routines, how to operate gas appliances properly, etc.

After 4 years with AIRBNB we do not take this decision lightly. We probably are the top 1% of BNB's in the central Okanagan. But we all know what has happened South of the Border, and we only just realized the ACTUAL fees, fees that go South of the border, were being charged to our clients. After some deliberations Helen and I decided we would begin accepting direct rentals and promote our BNB ourselves keeping the 'fees' in our pockets and our clients pockets and most importantly keeping the fees HERE in Canada and hopefully locally.
